Really needed this workout. Is was great for my mindstate. Kelly was sick all weekend so Baby Grant and I were on our own. So it was hard for me to get to the gym this weekend. It was hard for me to do anything!!! On one hand, it was hard and tiring on the other hand, I got more one on one time with my son than normal. It made away from the TV and internet and focus on him.

The workout itself was an A all the way. I was not going for any more reps this week on my top set other than 5, but 5 was just so damn easy I just had to go forth the 6th. Had more in the tank, but didn't want to push it.
The BBB sets gave me an awesome upper body pump. I supersetted the BBB bench with my BBB DB rows. Went a bit light on the rows. I'll bump them up next week.
Got this session done in under 45 minutes. Grant was at my dad's and I wanted to get back to him.

Notes:
Another slam bam BBB workout. The working sets went smooth. I've never done high rep deads, so I wasn't sure what to expect. The back pumps were bad on the first couple BBB sets, but I found if I got off my feet for a minute or so they subsided.
Still not quit sure about this. I didn't feel the volume like I did with 3 other main lifts.
I'm interested to see where I'm sore tomorrow, if anywhere.

Overall, after my first week of Boring but Big, I am really enjoying it. It is a fast hard approach. There is a lot of big and not a lot of boring, in BBB. Looking forward to running this assistance template for a while.

Awesome stuff, Josh! Great to read about you being all excited and positive, and of course cracking out some big lifts.

Thanks Mike. Training is going great and I am happy about it.
I love spending time with my baby boy. He is great. I'm sure you also get the same joy from your little ones.
I can't imagine 2 running around. 1 is good for now!!!

You know what, I'm surprised about how sore the lower back is not!! It is less sore today, than it is when I just deadlift...

She is feeling better. Still a bit of some stomach issues, but she can keep food in.
