thanks Alan ... Yes you are right ... those 20 reppers build a good base ... hopefully will be able to add 5 lbs per week / 2 week for those 20 reppers.

I got good gains doing a 20 rep squat max after deads on deadlift day, and doing squats for reps and sets on squat day. I couldn't imagine heavy squatting and 20 rep squats 2x a week.

Decided to throw in some rep work today at squat. 315*10 actually felt comfortable. Did some decline chest working to check shoulder from another angle. Going good ...
Great work Ravi! Just beating your legs silly with all that squatting, smash on!!!

Everyone of us have different body type and working / recovery pattern. When I was doing Smolov, it was 3x week Squat. Finding 2x quite comfortable than that. It's all about recovery I think ...

True ... crawling all the day ... in fact still getting cramps when writing this. If I will sit more than 1/2 an hour at a single place, it will become difficult to walk again ... baby steps ...

That kind of reppage will most definitely help you. Interesting to see how it affects your recovery as well.

There could be multiple pattern we can check. Like one heavy and one moderate / light with reps or Heavy / moderate and light or other with accessory working combination. But in my opinion, if you can't recover from one session, it will increases chances of injury in second or third one ... but that's solely my thinking ...

thanks super Jim ... A session with moderate wt. / high reppage will definitely takes time in comparison with Heavy wt and 1-3 range of reps. My legs are still sore from yesterday's session because I'm not a high rep guy when the wt. is 300+ ... but simply loved yesterdays working ... May be doing some more session like that with progressive wts ... lets' see how far I can get ...

By the way you will make a superb coach ...
