Thanks, BTB. I saw some chatter on the forum about Krocs and it got me to missing them. I probably could have kept going, but for some reason I just stopped at 20. I had my mind made up to do that I guess, plus I was anxious to help straighten up the weight room.

Shoot me the date for that deal with Jen. The problem is I don't have a lot of PTO time built up yet at my new gig, and I need to take a day off on the 28th to go to Mayo for a checkup. Doesn't look good, but shoot me the date anyhow just in case. Is she doing that deal in St. Cloud?

Workout 2.1.4

Posin' with Zyzz, Brah

There's only one decent place at my gym to do chins, and that's at the twin cable tower station. Couple of posers were hanging there, taking up space, and air. One guy would hang from the chin bar and do some hanging leg raises, then he'd stop while he and his buddy stood there RIGHT UNDER THE DAMN BAR, and talk. After a couple of minutes, the one who was doing leg raises would turn to the mirror, lift up his shirt, and check his abs while the other guy would strike a front double bi pose. Then they'd both hit a single bicep pose and compare veins. RIGHT UNDER THE DAMN CHIN BAR. I'm not confrontational, so I passed up several good oportunities. Eventually I noticed that "abs boy" was wearing a BB.com shirt with horizontal slits cut in the back (just like the Hulkster). I couldn't have possibly won the argument, so I just blew off about half my chinup attempts.

OHP - Behind y'alls back, I've been working on cleans. I cleaned the start of every single set. Not every rep, but every set. Gotta start somewhere.

I guess you should have been there. If it ever happens again though...

Wifey and kids all came up with good lines too. Me, I just cussed under my breath.

Thank you, 5kg. There shall never be pictures of my posin', 'cuz I don't pose. Actually, I tried to post some pics in an album here on the forum, but they were formatted all goofy, and were tooooooo big for the screen. My current avitar is from my front double bicep pose.

Tuesday, 6/12/12

Thanks. No it isn't the best gift ever. I think I'll make up for it tonight by talking about how I feel.

Wedding Anniversary

I came home from work after a stop at the flower shop, and was planning on a relaxing evening, and MAYBE being able to sneak out later to lift. But my wifey surprized me. She suggested a later supper after my lift. Her idea completely. Is it any wonder why I love her?

Workout 2.2.2

Bench Press (alternated with sets of chinups)
45x5
70x5
85x5
100x5
110x5
130x5
150x8 - not sure, but I think this might be a rep record at 150. I'll have to check.

Chinups (between sets of BP)
1/1/1/1/x - the singles were honest reps, with an attempt at a second resulting in a static hold every time. So, I'm getting close to being able to do two.

Deficit BP - I talked about doing these before. The bar was available, so I tried it.
70x10
85x10
100x10
85x10
70x10

I paused between sets long enough to change weight. All 50 reps probably took me less than 3 minutes. My arms were jelly afterwards. Tomorrow should be interesting.

I wanted to do some rowing, but my arms were so shot, I couldn't even think of it. Called it a day. Came home to be with my bride.
