It really wasn't bad. I went in to this with the mindset of getting my 5, but knowing I need 9 in order to push the theoretical 1RM. Before I knew it, I was at 7 reps. 7 Dead-lift reps, no bouncing. Up. Down. Relax the grip. Reset the grip. Big breath (or two). Pull.

The way this current format is shaping up, my Big Three lifts will have a singles week, a rep week, another, slightly heavier singles week, and a deload. Looks like a fairly liveable situation, only chasing rep records once per cycle.

You have a good weekend too. We're headed to Mall of America for our annual Mother's Day outing.

No. Anything over one rep has become cardio or me. I never thought 3-5 rep sets were taxing until I stopped using them. Now I feel like a lump.

Nice deadlifts!

Ever tried doing negatives on the pullups? Get up on a bench or something, start with chin over bar, step off chair and hold as long as you can. Just a thought. Keep plugging away and you'll get where you want to go.

Yep, I've thought about doing negs on pullups. Dips too. I just haven't done it. Not sure why.

Survived MOA just fine. Perkins afterwards, now that's a different story. I'm still paying for it. Too much food.

x/x/x/x/x/x - I got dang close on the first few sets though. I think next time I might even get 1.

Superset

Dips BWx8x2, BWx7
DB Curls 30x10x2, 30x8

EZ Curl Tricep Ext. 65x12x2, 65x8

Big ass pump in the arms following. Felt real good.

Next session will probably be Thursday. Squats. Singles at 95% 1RM.
