I do not know who the hell these guys are; some group of Russian lifters I stumbled upon in one of my many researching endeavors. But they train old school, and some of them are damn good at it!

Tried using a more Olympic style press today; made the press easier, but required more of a back-lean to get a straighter bar path.

Much better this time around.


Reverse Curl:

These were rushed. Could have done more.

Ran the better part of a kilometer back home.

Yeah, this time around they were much more solid reps.

I've been thinking though, and I want to concentrate more on getting my press and pulling strength up in the future. I'll still be doing squats and other auxiliary movements, but my heavy focus will be on overhead strength and pulls.

I do that often Iron, I focus on moving a few lifts at a time. Just change it up every so often. Has worked well for me in the past. Good luck!

Weight is for each hand. Wasn't sure how much I would get today; got unbalanced with the 85 and called it. These were fun as hell! There is something immensely satisfying about holding a heavy weight overhead.


Chin-Ups:
+25x5
+35x5
+50x3
+70x3
+70x5x2


Did some static holds after that with 225 and 315. I'll be working in grip training as often as possible in the future.
