Took longer than I would have liked. Need to cut down on the warm-up time.
I hear you IM. My squat warmups feel like a workout in themselves.

Nice singles hombre.

Nice singles hombre.
Sometimes I just put too much thought into my warm-ups or rest too long between sets. I prefer taking the bigger jumps though on almost everything.

Gonna be an upper body/light day today.

Not worthy of a song:

Pull-Ups alternated with chin-ups:
4x10xBW

Reverse curl to overhead press:
50x10
70x5x5

Dips:
BWx15
BWx15

All done pretty damn fast and light.

Heavy pulls tomorrow.

You have invoked me, and I shall deliver:

Bench Press:
1x3x115
1x2x135
1x1x155
3x1x175
1x3x185
1x1x195
1x1x200
1x2x185

I'll be doing more heavy singles with these soon, as my gym now has two power racks that I can bench out of and thus obviate a spotter.

Deadlift:
1x1x135
1x1x225
1x1x275
1x1x315
1x1x365
6x1x405

Smooth singles. I'll be able to push the weight on these soon.

I'm convinced that my short madness with low-volume in the past gave me a sort of 'peaking' phase that was unsustainable during my subsequent (idiotic) layoff. Heavy weight + high volume is the way to go for me, it seems; and all my lifts have been improving since last year.

Shrugs:
1x5x225
1x5x315
1x5x405
1x5x495

(real weight)

4x4x545
4x4x565
1x3x565
1x10x495

Push-Press:
1x3x115
3x1x145
3x1x155
2x2x155
165xfail
2x2x155
165xfail
3x2x155

Dips yesterday were aggravating my shoulder, so I'm dropping them again.

I intend to go back in there tomorrow and put up some noteworthy lifting for a change. I'm going to place more of my pressing emphasis on strict presses in the future, until I build up a stronger base for more explosive work.

This next week I won't be able to get into the gym at all on Wednesday, so I'll be splitting up my squat and push/pull sessions.

Monday I'll finally have an mp3 player and some REAL lifting music.
