pretty sore today but i have a week off but i think i better keep deads light with all the squats im doing

so my back injury, sprained one or several ligaments in my lower back. Nothing too serious thank god just need some time off. I tried an upper body workout and my back locked up and hurt for 3 days so. Time off, it must be done. Hopefully I can get back to 20 rep squats soon I miss them dearly.

well it hurts to walk still and get off the couch so I'd say a couple of weeks minimum. I'm still training clients and I may be back doing purely machines for upper body next week. Right now picking a 45 off the ground would destroy me. You dont realize how much your lower back is working until its ****ed.

That sucks. Hope it recovers soon.

I wonder if doing the 20 rep squats before the deadlift was a contributory factor? Every time I've hurt myself on deads, I've been in a fatigued state when I started the set. Just a thought.

I was thinking the same thing I may just stick with hyperextensions or good mornings next time I attempt the 20 rep routine. I miss it.

I was picking up weights after my shift and it felt fine. I woke up this morning and my back was completely locked up. Not ready yet.
