ME Squat Day

Quick one today, squatted with 4 chains to pin 29.What is it about that pause that makes these so hard!!? I hit a new record of 146kg of bar weight and then did alot of sets after.I finished with reverse crunches for the abs, these tore me up, my midsection is not as strong as it once was but I am working on it.. Good day.

Do you completely deload the weight when it hits the pin? If so I think you lose some of that hamstring tension and part of your spring action.

Yeah I do BtB, but thats what makes it so Brutal!! really pounds the legs taking away the stretch reflex!

DE Bench/ME Squat Day

Whoa long night in the gym tonight, did get in til late.I benched with 3 chains for alot of sets. Speed has really come up leaps and bounds, I worked up a tiny bit higher in % at the end with my comp grip and speed did not drop off at all. I then pressed for abunch of sets and did HG db floor presses too. I finished with dips and then SSB squats with an orange band and 2 chains.Good day.

ME Squat Day

I squatted vs 4 chains and a mini today, strong work up to a couple PRs of 147.5kg, I still had more too but 2 PRs is enough for one day.I then did backoffs for triples and doubles.I finished with snatch grip RDLs, these blew me up a treat. Good day but had to run out the door early.

THX BtB, I really enjoy it, although i will be planning to hit regular straight weight squats a little more often for a bit. I need to get the 182.5kg (400lb) monkey off my back!
