Week 19, Thursday, 7-12-12
Deadlift, 5 reps, 255, 345, 370. New 5rep PR.
F.Squat, 195 (5,4,4).
Calf Raise, 8 reps, 135, 160, 170
V-ups, 2x15

Last rep or 2 of Deadlifts weren't perfect, so I'll stay with 370 next week.

Week 19, Friday, 7-13-12
BbRow, 185(7,6,6). Same as last week. Gonna go lighter and move repgoal to 25
IncDbBench, 90(9,9,7). Barely got these. 25rep goal met.
OH Press 115 (10,9,7). 25 rep goal met. A 35-pound drop in weight.
Pullups, BW+35 (7,6,5,). Same as last week.
DbCurls 40(10rp,10rp). Using 2 rest-pause sets. It's feeling lighter.
Rope PDs 18(7,7).

Been stuck on rows for a while, so I'm going ligther with more reps to try to break through.

On IncDbBench, I'm going to stick with the 90's and see how they feel next week. I'm definitely not used to 9 or 10 reps. The feel of the weight changed drastically after rep 8.

Since I did OHP right after incline bench, I had to go much lighter than I thought I would. I'll try doing pullups after incline bench and THEN do OHP and see if there is a difference in how heavy I can go. I figure there will be.

After a couple weeks your conditioning should catch up and hopefully PRs will start to fall.

Week 20, Monday, 7-16-12
Squats, 245 (8,6,6).
Calf Raise 8 reps, 285, 295, 305(7).
Cleans 4x3, 185. Didn't realize I was doing 185 until I got 3 sets done.
W.Situps, 70(15), 105(10,15).
Hangcleans, 135 (3x5)

Still very unhappy with squats. I seem to get the first 5 or 6 reps fine and then I'm struggling to get the weight up. On occasion my left knee wants to cave. I may have to drop the weight even further in order to build up my endurance. More of a 25 rep goal than a 20 rep. Maybe even experiment with a wider stance.

Didn't even know I was cleaning 185. Something in me kept saying it was 175. No wonder it felt so heavy.

Week 20, Tuesday, 7-17-12
Bench, 250(5,4,2). 1st time back with 20rep goal. Weaker than I was before.
DbRow 85 (13,13,12). 3 more than last week.
Dips BW+90(7,7,5). First attempt.
Chinups BW+25(7,6,6). Same as last week.

Rows and Dips--THRILLED it went so well.

Chins--Since I've been stuck on chins for almost 2 months, I"m dropping the weight down to 15 and raising the goal to 25 reps over the sets. Gotta get that muscle endurance up.

Bench -- My first week back with the 20 rep goal on bench. It sucked. What shocks me is that during the previous weeks I've done 285x1, 270x2, 255x3, 240x4, 225x5. I could get 255 up 3 times despite having already done 285 and 270, yet I couldn't get 250 up 6 times. Very disappointing. This is significantly worse than I was before I tried a change to get around the plateau.

On that note, BTB, should I go back to the heavier lifting I was doing the previous weeks? Since I'm doing higher reps on Friday with incline and OHP, would a lower rep, heavier day on monday be such a bad thing?

No, that wouldn't be a bad thing.

Hate to see you struggling with bench and squats, but hang in there. Power through. Making small adjustments sooner or later becomes a very vital part of this equation, and it's good to see you tinkering around.

Week 20, Thursday, 7-19-12
Deadlift, 5 reps, 255, 340, 370(3). 1 less than last week., but all had great form.
F.Squat, 5 reps, 185, 190, 195. Moving up next week.
Calf Raise, 8 reps, 135, 160, 180(5)
V-ups, 3x15

Week 20, Friday, 7-20-12
BbRow, 165(10,9,7). 25rep goal met.
IncDbBench, 90(9,9,7). 25rep goal met, same last wk, here I had better control.
OH Press 125 (10,8,7). 25 rep goal met.10 pound heavier than last week.
Pullups, BW+35 (7,6,5,). Same for 2nd week in a row.
DbCurls 40(10rp,9rp,4). Using 2 rest-pause sets. It's feeling lighter.
Rope PDs 18(5,5). After just doing OHP, my tri's were out of gas.

I love the changes to the workout. Definitely building muscle endurance and still hitting some goals.

Progress! Progress! All hail MAB!

Week 21, Monday, 7-23-12
Squats, 245 (8,7,6). Feels better. Knees still wanting to cave on later reps.
Calf Raise 8 reps, 285, 295, 305(7). Same as last week.
Cleans 4x3 and 1x2, 185. Much better technique this time.
W.Situps, 70(15), 105(15,15).
Hangcleans, 140 (3x5)

Week 21, Tuesday, 7-24-12
Bench, 275(1), 260(2), 245(4), 230(6). Will work back up to 285.
DbRow 85 (14,14). 2 more than last week, but no 3rd set this time.
Dips BW+90(7,5,4). 3 less than last week.
Chinups BW+15(9,8,7). Going for a 25 rep goal with lighter weight.

I'm really surprised DbRows are coming along so well. Continued progress on rows, but chins and bench are down from weeks past.
