Yep, busy, busy

As for the food, I've been enjoying some extras in the form of doughnuts and such.

Absolutely shattered today; hubby twitches a lot in his sleep, in fact the bed never stays still and I'm sure last night he jolted completely off the bed for a second. Meds more than likely.

We've been busy with nurse and doctor today; and it's a good thing I asked some questions because the hospital did not indicate that some meds needed to be permanent, such as the GTN spray (idiots); the doctor is also going to be in touch with the hopsital that did the CABG because he has some questions about the med list as well...they forgot or overlooked clarifying certain changes in the med list.

This morning was okay but with being drained it didn't help; hubby had half of the metal clips removed from his leg...so, 25 out, 25 to go on Wednesday. We figured they were doing them all today but the nurse said with large wounds like these she prefers to do them in two stages and take out every other clip; we felt better about that anyway.

Hubby went for a walk, too far IMHO, he should be doing 10-20 minutes max a day, and he did a 35 minute walk in one go but, he's okay, which is great. Going to reign him in just a little to make sure he doesn't overdo things too early on in his recovery.

So, aside from the two walks; just going to chill a little for the rest of the day.

That made me cringe a bit. Tell him what we tell others...start slow and build. He's a train not a jet

Already done!

Today has been a bit too hectic again but because we had to go out to the nurse when we thought one trip would have sufficed. The rest of his clips were removed, so 52 in total from his leg...one large wound. It didn't help that last night his body decided not to sleep which meant neither of us getting any sleep; so, migraine hell it is for me today.

Needless to say, no workout, other than helping hubby with his rehab; though we did go shopping which meant I got to push the wheelchair with one hand and the trolley with the other, and that really is a workout in itself.

Still hoping to get a session in this week; though we are busy tomorrow with yet another medical appointment for him.

That sounds harsh.

Yeah, not nice at all; some pulled a bit but he reckoned the sound of them coming out was fa worse than the reality of it...they use a form of staple remover to get them out.

Missed my session today but have promised myself one tomorrow, even if only a short session. I have been busy with being on the go most of the day every day but it's not quite the same as exercising.

At the moment, we're busy working out small details, so lots of weird planning as to what hubby can do and when etc. Weeks seem to clash and keeping track to make sure he's not doing what he shouldn't be doing but ensuring that he's doing what he should be doing is almost a military precision game.

I need to get a sheet typed up to keep track. He managed to walk for almost 6 minutes, yesterday, without having to stop for a breather; you may wonder why I mention this and may have little interest but it may make some people see their lifting "failures" in a slightly different light in the sense that they are able to do what they are doing even if they happened to miss the lift or not progress as much as they wished.
