I do find it curious, good to know though, how the body responds, I mean.

Somehow, I managed to pull my outer and inner thigh as well as the outer glute maybe even some deeper stuff going on there...non-weight training related pull...I'm giving it a little while to recuperate; walking isn't as bad now but sleeping still causes issues when turning over etc.

Nothing a doctor would do apart from suggest resting it so that's the route I'm taking first.

No biggie though, I did a few KB snatches a while back and they don't appear to aggravate it, though externally rotating (abduction) the thigh/hip area does. Probably just tweaked it somehow.

About 3 days ago, it feels like it's starting to ease slowly, and I've been putting plenty of Deep Heat rub on the entire area. The first night, I even had pain between the two smaller toes on that side of the body, plus some cramp in the toes mentioned and calf muscle issues...so, I'm hedging my bets that I may have trapped something, possibly, which with a bit of teasing out of the spine and muscles, should sort itself.

I have an arsenal of a few yoga moves which tend to lend themselves beautifully to sciatica and have had those kinds of issues in the past, not so distant, where I can get suddenly stuck when seated without being able to move the left leg without the intense searing pain like a cable being pulled taut throughout the glute and such (though this is the right leg).

Some of it relates back to when I ripped (doctor's words, personally, I reckon they were badly pulled or strained) all the tendons in the lower back at age 13-14y/o and the ongoing couple of decades before it really felt much better; nowhere near as bad these days, I don't end up paralysed on the spot whilst standing, which I have experienced previously, last time was around 15 years ago...frightening actually, and hope never to experience it again. Just one of those things that acts up and if I tweaked it as well, or ended up in a bad position and set it off, it'll just need some time and TLC to settle down.

Didn't realize it was tied to an odd battle scar. Sounds like a good excuse for more movies.

Yeah, 'fraid so You'd never guess it was yoga that was the initial cause of all the suffering though, all those years ago

Though, active rest/rehab is the order of the day; I don't know how others fare but if I rest, in the sense of full rest, it just tends to make the back feel worse, whereas if I'm lifting, it feels better with less aches. A good excuse to lift

BW squats
20
20
20

No leg issues, surprisingly; leg still hurts and is very uncomfortable in certain positions and with specific movement patterns but the squats were fine which is good.

Yeah, had to trial run it to see what could or could not be done; it was aggravated for a couple of days after the BW squats but is starting to feel better again.

Lots of Deep Heat cream and massaging is maybe doing the trick; more the massaging probably but I'm sure the warming cream helps a bit.
