Looking strong, regardless. You're probably already aware, but that issue you're having looks like limited shoulder flexibility.

One thing that helped me with that was holding the barbell in the clean rack position when doing front squats.

Good luck getting a handle on this soon.

Thanks Tank. I am thinking the same on the fronts. I have always done my fronts with a clean grip and have worked up to over 200kg holding the bar with my fingers. I decided to switch from the "catch the bar with your fingers and then clear it at the top for the jerk" to just keeping my hands on the bar. It eliminates the trouble I was having and have seen people have if a finger comes off during the clean or trying to clear a heavy weight.

You can play around with something light like 100 or 110k but once it starts moving up you dont want to be screwing around before you jerk the weight. Just going to take some time and fronts with my hands on the bar should help. They will just hurt like a bitch!

You'll figure it out, Mike. Just takes persistence and you obviously have that.

BTW, I'll bet everyone is wearing sleeves in that Gold's now! After they saw you jacking a 500 lb double, etc., I bet they all want to be like you now.

I have this issue in a big way. I can't get within two inches of my chest. Or at least it sounds like a similar issue. I can't go over 225 because the weight stays too far forward.

Thank you sir. 410 is my best. I think I am going to start benching again because I dont really feel that far off from not really training it since my last meet. Shoulders are definitely stronger now from all the overhead work.

Good work Mike. I suspect once you get back into the groove of things with your bench, you'll see that additional shoulder strength.
