How long has it taken you to start getting used to the hook grip?

It was recommending to start learning it last night during my snatch session, as the guy mentioned it allows me to focus on my form instead of holding the weight. I have to stop being stubborn and just do it.

Start right now. I started with the snatch and held off on the C&J because I thought it would get in the way of my turnover. Huge Mistake! I had a problem with arm bend and it was directly because of just using double overhand. Whenever the weight had any heft to it off the floor, I would c o c k my elbows and use my arms to hang on. The hook basically put a stop to that immediately.
