Shes been working out with me for a couple of years. She does squats with a stick, pushups, situps, and she can do hang cleans with the stick. I learned how to Oly lift because I want her to take it up when shes old enough.

Squats

Hardly any sleep but some Prodigy and coffee got me through. Need to eat more. BW is down to 234.

Great work Mike! Smooth and strong squats! What do you use for doing GHR? Just wondering because so many people do and like them but not sure if I have a way to do them?

I have an Elitefts GHR. I went to a seminar at Bob Youngs place around 2002. I got to train with Wendler and Tate and Jim suggested it over the reverse hyper (which I hate). Its a very versatile piece of equipment for a home gym.

Always enjoy your vids mike as you always seem to have fine form. You look like you were born to lift. Hopefully your daughter will be too! At least she has someone to teach her the proper way to do it. I also like how Steve's daughter Erin is into lifting as well. Kudo's to you for all you do.

Legit pauses on the presses as well Mike. Do you do alot of paused benching or a good mix of tng and paused?

I pause all normal benching except the occasional high rep backoff. I got lucky and started with USAPL/USPF lifters and they made me pause all my benches and squat below parallel. Sometimes the pause gets quick when I am training by myself but I never deliberately just bounce it off my chest. Its the best exercise for building bottom end strength and I am never surprised at a meet.

Very interesting and I think very worthwhile approach. I have never thought of doing paused benching all the time. I once received advice to not do paused all the time. However, I think your bang on with the no surprises at meets. I have been surprised at both my meets on bench. Looks like your approach may be a route for me to take. With that said, one of my problems at my last meet was my tremors. The rear judge red lighted me because he said the bar sunk into my chest after pausing. I blame my tremors for that. Perhaps more or all puased benching would help me with that.
