Tweaked my back yesterday on the 5th set so I hit some light front squats to get the blood flowing. New bench form is getting better but I am still hesitant something is going to happen when I bench.

Wow, don't even know how to begin. 5x5 with approaching 500, the big bench or the overhead work. Not to mention a 4pps front squat. Awesome. You're another person I'll be seeking out for advice when I'm done losing weight and looking to go high sets/low reps when gaining

I tore my pec two months ago and have to revamp my benching style. Not a great bencher, best comp meet max is 405 and 525 single ply.

Tearing sensation and sharp pain. Happened when I was close gripping of all things. If you want to 100% avoid it then I recommend not benching. I am being serious. If you push yourself, things can happen. Its part of lifting.

I tried out chest drives in the rack (Josh Bryant Stuff) a couple of days before. Thats what I think might have done it because thats the only thing I did different.

Front Squat

365x1
405x2(Wanted three but I wimped out)

Back Squat
315x5
405 6x5

Reverse Grip Bent Over Rows 225 3x6
