Great work Mike and thankfully you're ok. Making mistakes is one thing, doing it with almost 500 pounds on your back is quite another! Silly question but are those 45 pound plates? They look huge! I'm used to working with plates large in diameter but not as thick as that.

Thank you gentlemen. It definitely wasnt the smartest thing thing I have ever done but I was so tired from the cleans and FS I probably wouldn't have done it if I racked it. Feeling fine this morning, so were all good.

Kuytrider, they are 45s. They are pendlay econo bumpers and the 45s are really thick.

With your programming on the quick lifts, is it more or less work up to a heavy/max single or are some of these numbers planned?

Thanks man.

The only thing set in stone is a max on both lifts on Saturday. I train with a group so it has a competition feel.
I have two snatch days and a clean day during the week. I try to stick to reps during the week and save myself for Saturday.

I really appreciate it. My clean is a problem but I am trying like heck to bring it up.
I just started my prep for my first ever oly meet and its going to be a rough one. I thought it was interesting.
Old Russian squat routine to bring my leg strength up, power snatch and power clean once a week, pulls are planned out starting at 5x5 and ending with a big double the week before the meet (I think this is going to be the toughest part, the 5x5 with 210 on snatch high pulls put a hurting on my cardio),and full lifts on saturday.

Schedule will be:
Mon
Power Snatch
Snatch pulls
Light squat (6x2 400)

Wed
Power clean
Clean pulls

Thurs
Heavy squat
RDLs or GHRs

Sat
Max on full lifts
