I lift everywhere!

Tired and dehydrated today. High stress yesterday coupled with the cleans and shrugs yesterday put a hurting on me. I was cotton mouthed the whole session.

Great training Mike, strong squat! The Push Presses were brutal to, I can sense that we have the same issue with clean and jerk / Press, I just cant get it racked and then push it from rack. Have to keep it off the chest to get a grip. You working on this or accepting it?

Thanks man. Did I do push presses? Those were supposed to be military presses!

I have several issues with the clean since I am a newbie to doing them. With that, If I can clean it, its going up. I have done a strict standing military press with 255 and Push Pressed 275 but the problem is my best power clean is a weak sauce 270 so I have no problem jerking whatever I manage to clean. I am working on my flexibility but its going to take time.

MP's I meant, was a bit distracted by the subject

Im in about the same spot. My clean is slightly above my max Press but once I clean it, getting it into the press position is a bit of a struggle if I catch it as I would a clean only. Work in progress!

My training partner can clean anything but his jerk holds him back. I think its alot like powerlifting. When your bench is moving, your pull sucks. Rarely is it all clicking!

Thanks man. Plan on having a dedicated squat day with three days of oly lifting. Just going to run 5-4-3-2-1 with 25 pound jumps. Add 5 pounds a week. My body is taking a beating and trying to squat at the end of the sessions isnt cutting it. We will see how this works.

I should run more but twice a week right now. Body weight jumped some and is holding at about 233.
