Thanks guys, it's just frustrating because I've hit a contest lift much bigger than I've been able to hit on the gym the last couple weeks.

Default 1/11/12 - Bench & Deadlift

Time: 60+ minutes
Grade: A++ for bench, D-- for deadlift
Notes: Well, I have come to the conclusion that Primal 5/3/1 did me absolutely 0 favors on my deadlift. So, at my contest next week it's looking quite likely that I won't even beat my lift from last year. But, we'll see. As for benching, it went great today. I got 295 like butter and 315 would definitely have been mine with a lift off so I'll probably plan my attempts to go 305, 315, 325 and get a huge PR on that lift at least, which I credit mostly to really studying and applying that Kazmaier bench clinic that's been flying around the interwebz. The major thing that I think I've neglected on training deadlifts are variations, especially deficits which will change as I gear up for strongman season.

I don't know, since the heaviest lift I can count on right now is 455 I guess I'll try 455, 485, and 505 and hopefully I can hit the 505. Contest adrenaline should be a big help, I may even try smelling salts or a slap in the face.
