Notes: I don't know if it was because of benching last night (my lats and hams were a bit sore) or what, but today's deadlifting was particularly lackluster. I did realize something today that will hopefully help, my string of shitty deadlifting sessions basically coincide with me discontinuing direct ab work so I began correcting that today. I'm really not sure what to do otherwise. Maybe next week I'll video it and see if there's a flaw in my form/technique that needs correcting.

I need to lose 20 lbs of BW, gain at least 100 lbs on my deadlift & OH press, and get into marathon level conditioning before next year's strongman season. At 34 years old I truly believe that this is my last chance to become competitive in that sport. I've already decided that although I can do another novice contest I am going to sign up for the open division in at least one contest next year, and if that goes well I'm gonna do the Brian Shaw Classic.
