Old School works for me.

Best Meet Lifts:
Squat = 325
Bench = 210
Dead = 353
Total = 888

The iron is there during my times of happiness, sadness and anger. The iron is there available through the 4 seasons and inclement weather. The iron is there to either comfort me or motivate me. The Iron manages to show me how strong I am or how humble I need to be. The iron does not yell, but it always demands respect. The iron is not a disciplinarian, but when disrespected, I feel it for a long time. The iron does not love or hate, but we definitely share a strong bond. And no matter how far I stay away or for how long, the iron is there, waiting to be lifted.

Thanks guys. I have played around with the old school style throughout my brief training career. Since I train alone, at home, not much choice but to go old school. I have recently discovered that I respond well to a 5 x 5 coupled with some pump sets, ala McCallum. So my plan is a hybrid of Reg Park and John McCallum.

NOTES
Made some modifications, wanted to see what would happen. I over estimated my DB weight for the pump sets, but all is good.

Squats - Was shooting for a 20 rep set, 16th rep quads on fire but I was pushing up off the toes. form wrecked so I racked.
BHNP - Equalled a best for two sets.
Incline Press - just working some volume.
Smith Pendlays - more volume work, not easy.

Good call. Somewhere around 12-16 reps I tend to start hallucinating.

Nice work bama.

If I was ever to go after 20 reps, I'd need a nurse with a crash cart behind me. Probably a jolt or two around the 16 rep mark too.

Thanks guys. Please note I had to correct my entry, I was getting out on my toes instead of pushing through my heals... THAT is why I racked it at 16.

After the squats and hip thrusters, I had to lay on the floor for a bit. My legs where whooped.

Pendlays on the smith,that is a great idea.I assume you set the bumpers at the bottom position to denote the stop/pause?

My Smith is one that is straight up and down, some are at an angle. I do indeed set the bumpers at the very bottom. This actually puts the bar only about an inch higher than it would be if I was pulling 45's from the floor. Since I have long limbs, it works great for me and allows a full ROM. I am growing to really like this exercise.
