NOTES
Wasn't feeling the Bird Dogs and other core work today. Mistake. Note to self... They help every lift!

Bench - I will need to find a lifting partner or helper on Bench day. I felt like I had the strength to annihilate both the AMAP set and the Singles but the set up and lift out solo affected my form. My set up is just not conducive to heavier work being done solo. I was really ticked after the single. I had even lowered the hook to try to make the lift out easier. Okay, the stitches in the crown of my head didn't help much either as they forced me to keep my head in a position I am not used to. Stitches come out tomorrow, so I should be good to go by Saturday, for some bench accessory work.

Chins - feet crossed from a dead hang. I am long enough that even feet crossed my toes touch the ground, however, not enough to push off, just enough to keep me from swinging. Tried to explode up. My explosions looked more like poofs. These need a lot of work.

As I am now officially 2 weeks out from weigh in, I am a little apprehensive. The two forced deloads, due to travel and surgery, have set me back a bit more than I had hoped. My goals for the meet are:
Squat 300+ I am hoping for the 315 to 325 range
Bench 200+
Deadlift 385-400+

Deadlift day tomorrow, so we will see.

5 boys are joining me at the meet. Pray for them as getting them to focus for the next two weeks is difficult. Good thing is this next week is standardized testing, so they shouldn't have many school conflicts.

Total = 888

True, True... I had set markers for myself months back as to where I hoped I would be by this time. Life got in the way. I will be happy however it goes.

Thanks DZ. I have a week and a half to get ready, then deload the week before. I can't go 100 % off or I will pay for it the day after the meet, so meet week will be light rep work just to keep blood flowing.

I should have trained this morning. I thought I would have time after the doctor appt. Stitches out, released from care with some warnings about sunshine. I wanted to make sure I got some deads in. I should have done one more single at 365 or 375, but I think I over did the warmup. Lesson learned.
