The Iron today

BP
135x10
165x10
185x5
205x2
185x4
165x9

split squats with 45lb plate
3x10
pistols
3x6

DB shoulder press
3x12x50

tricep push ups
7x6
this was something new, I need to make it harder somehow.

lateral and side raises with resistance band

I'm quite frustrated with genetics today, it seems like I just can't progress on my BP, the only real progress has come with squats and with pull ups, everything else has been 1 step forward, 2 steps back for the past few months. I'm really not sure why.

I was eating at a bit of a surplus for a few months but all I managed to do was increase the size of my spare tire. I really didn't get much stronger. Oh well, just keep lifting I suppose.

Now I'm back to eating just over maintenance and saying fuck it.

thanks Lee, its with a door frame pull up bar so its easier IMO than a real bar.

4/22/13

OH press
115x10
125x9
135x7
145x5
125x6
115x9

Hit a personal best with the 145 set today, felt freaking great.

squats
185x10
205x10
225x10
250x8
285x7
185x10

push ups
3x20 2 variations

close grip BP 60lb DB's
5x6, 1x5, 1x4

Stellar workout today, I feel high. Super happy with my OH press and my squat numbers. I'm gonna try 300 next time I squat and I have someone around to bail me out if need be.

Hope everyone is doing well and getting stronger.

Do I get to count the power clean when I do my OH press? I'm not going to haul my squat rack up the stairs and out the door to do my overhead work.

So I also did 6 total power cleans with the OH press weight.

I love cleans.

Yes

At home, I always log it as 1 clean for each set, so that I can see exactly what I did.

thanks all for droppin in

4/23/13

Pull ups
23, 15, 12, 10
I like to shoot for 60 total which I pretty much always get, my other challenge is the most in my first set. Today I didn't push as hard cuz I wanted my BOR up.

glute ham raise
3x15

BB BOR
135x10
145x8
155x6
165x4
135x8

core stuff

2 sets of BB curls cuz I was outta time.

On a side note, my yoga class really took me out of my comfort zone today. I had a few total newbies all with various issues. So I had to go back to totally basic cues and adjust each person accordingly per said issue. Its a good thing because thats the sort of challenge I like. I think my regulars still got a pretty good class too.
