I see that you are keeping your total volume pretty close(or maybe I am not looking close enough). What scheme or template are you using, and when will you change your volume?

For most exercises I am using expanding rest-pause times. The time between most of my sets are 30/30/60/60/90/120 seconds. This usually leads to sets around the same number of reps for me.

It's pretty much the same scheme I used for most of the year. Whenever I leave this style, I come back. It keeps my head in the game, and makes workouts go by quickly.

Not for squats though. I just rest until I'm ready for another set.

10/25/2009: Chest and Triceps

Workout Time: 48 minutes

Workout Grade: A+

I decided to carpet bomb my chest and triceps today. Heavy weight, 30 second rest between sets. Static holds with my max. Etc. For those of you that have never tried rest-pause workouts with heavy weight, your missing some serious "swole". I feel like the Michelin Man right now.

Tried some seated military presses for the first time in 20 years today. Lifting the weights in front of my head felt unusual, but I think I can adapt enough to rotate them in.
