I'm going to be trying the Sumos since that article you posted mentions it being more of a hip movement than a low back movement. If I like it, maybe a Texas Power Bar will get me that much further in the future. But it's time to "suck it up" and DEADLIFT!

Sumos treated me well. The only mistake I made was trying to go heavy heavy the first month. They also had very good carry over to my conventionals.

I've tried sumos before, but after reading that recent article that BtB posted I am sure that I had my stance too wide and hands too close together. Now I'm fired up to try the new way.

Thanks Swede. I'm anxious to start deadlifting and will probably change the order of the exercises to Press, Deadlift, Bench, and squats to get to the deads sooner.
