Default 1/14/12

Romanian Deadlifts
275x6,6,6 PR

OHP
150x6,6,5

T-Bar row
150x8,8,8

DE Bench
200x3x8

DB Curl
45x8,8,5

Decline Crunch
Bw+35 x8,8,8

COC Grippers x5,5,5

Overall Workout Grade: B

Notes:
This was the first workout that I rotated in RDLs for regular Deads. It's been many months since I did RDLs. I was pleasantly surprised by how well it went. I destroyed my previous RDL PR. The lesson here is that the carry over from regular deadlifts to RDLs is huge.
No real improvement in OHP.
T-bar Rows felt very solid, I'll bump them up next workout.
Kicked My DE bench up 5lbs from last workout. Felt good, speed dropped off towards the end. I'll stay at this weight next time. They pissed my left elbow off, so I'll probably wear a sleeve next time.

Presses can be so slow to make progress on. Nice RDL numbers. Hopefully they will also have a positive effect on your regular DL.

And vice versa

Big numbers. You get those RDLs to 365 you you will be surprised where your deadlift will be.

I can testify to the fact RDL's will have a massive impact on locking out your deads - so much so that Iam 100% postive I could easily lock out 500 if I could get it off the floor.

Great work there Big J

Thanks Off Road. Yeah, I've been riding a strong "progression wave" with my presses, but I think that is coming to an end.
Thanks again.

Thanks BtB. I'm looking forward to seeing how my deads feel as I increase my RDLS.

Thanks Squatter. I appreciate the insight. I really feel like the additions of the RDLs was the correct thing to do.

Great RDL work Josh. I'll say the saw as OR in regards to press... slow to progress... but keep chipping away!

The walkouts make sense to me, will have to try it out as well. Strong lifting recently Josh, and the beard is coming in nice! Keep it up and BJ won't stand for Big Josh, but BEAST Josh!
