This was a scheduled workout night for me. However, I'm feeling under the weather and think it is just best to take it easy tonight. I'll get a good nights sleep tonight and hopefully feel up to lifting tomorrow.

My back hurt from deads on Wednesday and after reading your log, it hurts again Great pulling and impressive to do that many reps in 10 minutes at that weight!

Strong work Josh.

I used to be into the grippers, in fact I was all but 1 inch from closing the #3 before a finger injury. They are fun, I still have them, might pick 'em up again.

How's the beard coming along?

Thank you good sir.
Those COC grippers are no joke. The fact that you got up to #3 is an accomplishment.

Steve has really took the time and helped me as of late with my programming. The man knows how to get strong using sound concepts. I'm really looking forward to see how this deadlift protocol treats me in the long run.

Default 1/6/2012

Squats
285x6,5,3
Bench
270x5,5,5
DB Rows
100x8,8,6
Lateral Raise
27.5 x8,8,6
CGBP
200x8,8,5.

Overall Workout Grade: B

Notes:
I am still under the weather, but I decided to train anyway. I have a scratchy throat, slightly swollen tonsils, feel kind of crappy, but i'm not congested and I don't have a fever, so I said screw it. If one is truly dedicated to something, they can't get scared everytime they see there own SHADOW and make excuses not to do it. Moving on.....

Added 10lbs to the Squats. Screw it why not. Felt good, felt hard, but I am confident it will be easier next time.

Bench felt absolutely great. Smooth rep timing the whole way through. A challenge, but not a struggle. A result of the DE work? Possibly....

DB rows were a struggle. I think not being 100% caught up to me here. Last time I did this I hit 3x8 without straps. Today I barely got through 2 sets without straps and couldn't finish the last with straps. My pulls are usually pretty damn reliable, but being sick, I think my endurance was noticeably down.

Lateral Raise and CGBP made no progress today. I guess it is what it is.
I'll try again next time.

Hopefully I start feeling better tomorrow.
