Might have been 16 but I kinda lost count. My body felt pretty awful today, these reps were a grind. If I was feeling fresh I would have had an easy 20. But its all good, I just did too much yesterday, between walking in the woods for 4 hours and then doing the log last night. Still was able to push through

Good Mornings

Not really feeling these today, they just hurt.

I really like these and I think they need to be used more often. Kill the quads and force you to use perfect form. And they kill your grip, awkward.

Plate loaded rows
4 plates x 3 x 10

Back Extension
3 x 20

Also did some ab work, but that is about it. Time for a deload week. Surprisingly I do not feel that beat down. I went as hard as I could this week and hit good numbers but I do not really feel worn mentally or physically. I am gonna push pretty hard this week with mostly speed work.

I went to Man's World Gym today where I trained for about a year. It is just not the same without Joe Dodd, this place just makes me sad now. everyone just talks about how his wife is going to lose the gym and they are losing all of the good lifters that came there. I do not go there often, but it is just not the same there anymore.

The body felt awful, but you plugged away, and this deserves something special:

May this day bring all that you desire, want, and will ever need.

The body has no mind but will listen to your mind all the time.

and it listened to you today...........

“The greatest treasures are those invisible to the eye but found by the heart.”

You showed some heart today, bro.

Nothing is impossible if you look at the broken pieces correctly. If you look at the broken pieces as failure you already have. If you look at those broken pieces as an opportunity to create something from a puzzle, you have already won. This can be applied to life, applied between friends, and to training and diet.
===================

“Time is the justice that examines all offenders.” (William Shakespeare)

There is something special packaged inside of you, Mr. Wood; we all have it.

Sometimes we need to reach in and take it kicking and screaming while we growl.

You may want to delay, but time will not.

Time awaits no man or woman.

You cannot own it, but you can use it.

The time has come.....

To stand for all you truthfully believe in.

The unreachable becomes reachable, the unavailable become available, the unattainable... attainable..........

Its all about the timing.

The time has come.

Today and everyday, it's all or nothing.

All the way.

I am the miracle. I am enough of an artist to draw freely upon my imaginary powers and use my time wisely. I am the time manager; it encircles my world.

When I let go of what and who I am, I become what I may be.......

And, I find myself in me
.

Good workout............Young man.

Keep strong.
=================================

and for a few laughs:

Will I ever get stronger than I am NOW?!

How?

POW!!!!!!!

With a personal blast of Rock-On WOW!!

Do you see it NOW?!!

Wholly COW!!

Confucius say:

A man who floats like a butterfly and stings with Rock-Ons IS bound to get there.

So Blast off today! Even when the body gives you crap back!

Muh! Ha, ha, ha

=====================================

Working with a body feeling like shit makes us fitness NERDS.

It allows us to crap out Rock-On TURDS.

Remember these WORDS.

They must be HEARD.

=====================================

Just for a laugh, for my brother wood:

Getting "bombed" before BED causes the head to become like French fried BREAD.

You will not get a girl to SPREAD in the BED because your HEAD will be DEAD.

INSTEAD she will SHRED the THREADS for TED and make his HEAD swell RED

Go AHEAD and get bombed before BED and FRED will make you SPREAD and make your @SS swell RED

Instead can we try Rye bread and a healthy cheese spread?

One more thing to remember as you battle and WIN:

The only true "medication relief" is the contents of the skull attached to your neck, my friend.

I hope this brought a smile to your face, keep trying and plugging it, Mr Wood,

The body is worth every bit.........

peace and happiness,

Chillen

From what I hear she would like to keep it, but I am not sure she can. I do not know if anyone wants to take it over. It takes a special person to keep these guys in line.

Deload Week, Mostly Speed Work

Bench Press w/ chains
135x2x5 w/ 1 sets of chain each side
135x2x3 w/ 2 sets of chain each side
135x6x3 w 3 sets of chain each side
these last sets were heavy, but I felt explosive, not sure on the exact weight of the chain. But I think it was around 140-150 pounds on the heavy sets

Pendlay Rows
135x2x5
185x5
205x5
225x3x5
I need to work on these and really explode off the floor.

Overhead Tricep Extension w/ swiss bar
55x12
75x3x8
75x10 to finish up

Lat Pulldown
90x20
135x15
160x2x12
Really good reps here, squeezed the back hard, full range of motion.

Band Tricep Extensions
Doubled Mini x 3 x 20
Awesome pump and burn.

Good workout today, my body is feeling pretty good right now. Legs are sore but all good soreness. Also, my joints felt good today, I need to be more consistent with my fish oil. Its all good, more speed workouts to come this week.

Looking good J, I don't get in here much but I'm following. Get that fish oil down and if that doesn't work give Joint Rehab a shot, works like a charm for me!

Thanks ripped, I might give joint rehab a try anyway. Probably after christmas and when I go to more of a high volume workout. Then I need the joint support

Tuesday Weird Conditioning day
It was raining outside so I could not do my normal sprints or sled drags but I made it work in my basement. I only had a 35 lb plate down there so here is what I did.

Burpees
1x10
1x12
1x20, this was my all out set, almost puked
1x14
These were done with the 35, basically a pushup, grab the weight, standup, push it over head, lower repeat. As fast as possible, I usually like to do these heavier, but it worked.

In between sets I did
4 sets of pull ups, all 8-10 reps

Decline sit ups
4 x 15

Curls with band
2x20

Finished up with a different version of burpees, something I think crossfitters do:
Push up, stand up, pull up back down
2x10
These were not nearly as hard as I thought they would be

Overall a fun workout. Tomorrow I should hear back about the squat rack I have been looking into. Hopefully it is a go, then I will order a decent bar. And find some used weights on craigslist.

If all goes to plan, I will have a full gym in basement by christmas time!!!!

I have been dreaming of a home gym for a long time! Now is the time to finally commit and get it done.

I will find out tomorrow if I am getting. The guy who is selling the cage is out of town until tomorrow, and he wants to measure the rack one more time to make sure it will fit in my basement. I will keep everyone updated!
