Surprised to see you lift at all. You always find a way to get it done.

I was surprised too! I am just addicted to lifting so days off do not happen very often.

Monday Bench Press
Weekend finally caught up to me, felt like a zombie today at work. I was not very productive, bench press sucked too. Could not get set up right and just did not feel tight at all. No leg drive, no back, weird

Bench Press
135x2x5
185x3
225x2
255x1
285x1
315x1 Ugly, had to bounce it a little
300x2 No good
300 was supposed to be a rep set, that did not happen. Was looking for more like 5. Gotta have a bad workout every once in a while.

Pull Ups (much better than bench)
BW x 10
plus 30 chain x 6
plus 50 chain x 4 x 5
plus 30 chain x 7
plus 20 chain x 7
Decided to do heavy sets of 5 until near failure, and my last rep of the 4th set had some jolting around to it so I dropped back a little

Dips
BW x 15
plus 20 x 12
plus 30 x 3 x 12
BW x 3 x 10-15

Band Pull Aparts
Monster mini x 3 x 15-20

That is it, got out of there. Feeling like death right now. Hopefully i fall asleep early tonight. I was very tired last night, yet I could not fall asleep. My body is just so off right now, tomorrow should be better I hope.

Get it next time. Want to see 300x5.

Bench more than anything, messes with me like this. Consistent form is a bear for me.

Tuesday Squats Back on Track!
Squat form felt better today, more confident with the weight on my back. Just need to keep squatting. I did tweak something in my low back so not much after squats.

Squats
135x2x5
195x5
235x4
285x3
345x2
390x1
350x 8 Win, up 2 reps from last week.
Moving on to the next phase of the cycle. I did not feel super strong on squats but was able to grind out some good reps!

RDLs
135x15
225x8
275x3, felt something tweak so I just shut it down
Really weird feeling near my tailbone area.

Reverse Hyper
2 plates x 15
4 plates x 5 x 10
2 plates x 10
I think this helped to get some blood flowing to the area.

Need to hit reverse hypers more often, it is a valuable exercise. Happy with the squats. Next week I will be doing the Big 15 template for bench and OHP also. Thinking of switching up my days for the summer being that saturdays are just not working for me. We will see.

Wednesday Conditioning
Tweaked something pretty good in my back but did not really effect conditioning at all. After tomorrow I will get some good rest, possibly taking 3 days off in a row which is unheard of for me. Going away Friday and Saturday, Sunday is fathers day. Should be plenty of time to recover.

Warm Ups
5-10 minute jog, mobility stuff

Hill Sprints
*these were done on a short but very steep hill
10 sprints x about 20 yards
4 sprints x 10 yards-started midway up the hill, these were very tough
Tried to take short rest in between, just enough to catch my breath.

Sledge Hammer
2 x 10 each side
Low back was irritated on these, so I just got my low back full of blood then stopped.

Going to do some stretching and rolling now while I cool down. Tomorrow is OHP, then taking it easy for a few days.

Thursday OHP
So my back was killing me today, felt it every time I took a step. But I trained and it felt better. Spent some time on the inversion board after my workout which really helped. This does not feel muscular, it is deeper and rolling it does not hurt. Just when I bend I get weird pains, like something is pushing on a nerve. Feels good right now, nice and loose. Couple days off coming up so that should help.

Speed Bench, close grip
135 plus short Monster mini x 6 x 3
No leg drive, but pushed through

Standing OHP
95x2x5
135x3
165x7 PR!
135x5
155x3
185x1
Really had to focus on keeping my torso upright and my abs tight, probably could have had another rep if I allowed some lean.

DB Rows
80s x 1 x 15
Not happening

Pull Ups Neutral Grip
BW x 3 x 12
BW x 2 x 10 wider grip

Skull Crushers
*all sets plus short mini
45x12
55x10
65x10
75x2x6
65x8

Hung out up side down for a while. Felt some relief

Looking forward to a couple days away from the weights, although I know I will not be saying that tomorrow haha!
