Good high volume workout today. Gonna do a pretty serious deload next week. Speed squats and deads on saturday. I will do some planning this weekend for getting ready to compete. I do not really worry about it too much. I am just gonna go in there and lift!

Friday Night Hit a Quick PR, haha
Another one of my off day workouts, just getting the blood flowing and then going heavier than I should. Speed squats tomorrow, so no big deal there.

Hang Cleans
135x2x5
185x1
205x1
225x1
245x1 PR
All these are taken off the floor first, brought to lockout and then cleaned. I have a lot more in me, I just have to get more confident with the heavier weights flying around.

Tried to get real explosive on these, i like these and may have to use them more.

Tomorrow is going to be a pure speed day, speed squats and speed deads with bands on both. Should be fast and fun!

Saturday Fun Speed Workout

Speed Squats off box
235 plus average bands x 15 sets x 2 reps
I just kept going, not sure why!

Speed Deads
*each rep was switched off sumo and conventional
**all were plus light short bands
135x2x3
225x2 singles
275x2 singles
315x6 singles
225x1 single conventional only
Still undecided which stance I will compete with.

Walking Lunges
30s x 5 sets x 6-8 steps each really not sure

Back Extensions
mini x 15
2 minis x 3 x 12

Abs on GHR
BW x 3 x 20

Hip work with band
3x20

That is it, did some rolling out and called it a day. Really enjoyed it. I decided I am going to skip a deload and just transition into conjugate method and meet prep. The speed work really serves as my deload and my last heavy day was tuesday. So I feel I am good to go. My body feels good so I am just gonna go with it.

Will put more of a plan together later.

Sunday Quick Fun Workout
Decided to get the tire out today, just for fun. Felt pretty fresh doing speed work yesterday. I think my plan will work well. Today I felt ready to go!

Tire Flips
Number of flips
1,2,3,4,5,6,7, 5 done
-added one flip each set, with limited rest. This really wore me out, I am out of shape, but it was fun

Pull Ups
BW x 2 x 10

Banded GMs
Average Band x 2 x 20

Decline Sit ups
2 x20

That is it. It was pretty cold out today, I made sure to warm up before I went out. I would have just went outside and started so I knew I had to get ready inside before I got cold. Overalll good stuff!

I am looking forward to this too, my gym has pretty much every bar now, so I should be able to get good variety and really never need a deload. I am going to train smart. I will really limit the deadlifts, and put more of a focus on Good Mornings. I figure strongman will keep my deadlift super strong also.
