Yes, every third week on juggernaut you go for a rep max, and then you deload.

The first two weeks of the cycle you can push the last set past the recommended reps, but not to failure. You only work for a rep max, once every 4 week cycle.

And then you use your rep max to adjust your working max for the next cycle. Solid approach, I just do not enjoy the high reps for 8 weeks straight. I am thinking of using juggernaut and putting my own twist on it. I will decide after I finish one complete cycle.

Off Day Training!!

Squats out of bottom position
135x5
225x3
275x3
315x2x1
365x1
375x1
395x1
365x2
365x1
These felt awesome, I really like doing these. I have been doing them barefoot and it kills the muscles in my feet, but I feel very strong on these. I started out just a hair above parallel since my low back was tight. Next time I will move down to the next hole and use that.

Banded Tricep Pushdown
Average band x 3 x 20

Pull Ups
2 or 3 sets x 10
Upper back was sore

Reverse Grip Curls
bar x 3 x 20

Very fun workout today, I did everything in about 40 mins. My hips are feeling very good right now, I am happy about this.

I took some fat burners before I worked out today, BPI's Roxylean and I must say these make me feel very weird after my workout. They are pretty good as a preworkout, but then kinda make me crash but more just feel weird and kinda out of it. O well, I do not care as long as I can fall asleep alright.

Thursday Juggernaut Training

Standing OHP
115x5
130x3
140x2x8
140x10
These felt a little heavy, but I was able to really focus and push through!! Shoulders were burning a bit

Close Grip Bench starting at bottom position
135x5
185x5
225x5
245x3
265x3
285x1
225x5

DB Rows
80sx 10
120s x 8
150s x 5 these were a struggle, grip was failing today
130s x 3 x 6
Felt pretty good on these, got a good pump going

Skull Crushers
75x10
85x3x10

Neutral Grip Pull Over
45x10

Overall a very good workout, I really enjoy the variation in my training that I can get by doing extra work on my off days. Tomorrow I am just going to hit some bodyweight stuff, saturday will be a big workout. Max reps on squats!!!

Crush the squats Jeremy. Huge PR would be a nice way to end 2011.

Saturday Squat Fail
I was incredibly hung over yesterday, but in the afternoon I thought I would give it a shot and I failed miserably

Squats
135x2x5
225x3
315x1, just awful

My whole body was tight and sore, just did not feel good. Too much alcohol, so I just shut it down.

Christmas Day Squats
Went a little better today, still not fantastic but I am ok with it.

Squats
135x2x5
225x3
275x3
315x1
350x8
Well I hit the reps that I needed to hit and that was it. This set was a grind, I have some funny soreness and my hips hurt. I need to remember my form, I get weird pains when I am not squatting properly. So today I got that all straightened out.

Bottom Position squats
135x5
225x2
275x5 singles
These really help me work on my form, and they are just brutal

Banded GMs
Average Band x 3 x 20

That is it, gotta do some christmas stuff now, I am going to eat a lot today!! My body needs to recover. Big bench session tomorrow, I will deadlift on Wednesday.
