My son has his first basketball game of the season today. I predict a blowout by the other team, but he'll have fun anyway. It's sad to say that my kid is one of the better players on his team, and my kid is not too hot. Oh, he can play super tough defense and rebound, but when it comes to scoring it's scary bad - lol

I'm sure he'll get a lot of playing time which should be a good conditioning workout.

Today is a rest day...

My son had his first basketball game last night. He played hard but really didn't produce much with this team. It's hard playing center when there is no offense to feed you the ball. All he did was play clean-up around the boards and get a couple of defensive steals and rebounds. He had a great time and that's most important, even though he was sad that they lost he still had a big smile.

Glad to hear he had fun. I was forced to play center on my college intramural team and I quickly missed being a point guard or shooting forward.

That's certainly where all the action is. But my son has zero ball handling ability, his only strengths are rebounding, defense, and passing. I told him he'll be the next Dennis Rodman (minus the weird crap).

Goblet Squats

Planks/L-Sit/Planks
30 sec/20 sec/30 sec

Notes:
Took the last set of goblet squats to where form started to break down a bit. All the bodyweight squats payed off because his form looks really good. Couple of more weeks of goblets and we'll test his bodyweight squats for max reps.

goblet squats are a great place to start when learning to squat.

cant really comment on the basketball as the only experience i have with that game is through playing NBA Jam 93 on the Sega.... wow showing my age there!

10 reps nearly makes me get sick. I can't imagine 25
