My strength did go in the shitter eventually but I was perhaps too aggressive at certain times in the cut though it was fairly slow. Perhaps you could look at waist size and body fat % as much as the scale and consider what your maximum allowed limits are for these.

If it's just a case of junk food causing much of the damage, maybe just cutting it could keep you at least where you are if not drop a couple of kilos. From my experience, squat and bench were the first to go south while deadlift and overhead press stayed reasonably strong until near the end. Anyways, just spinning my wheels
Thanks Kuyt. Ye, don't think I'm quite ready to do a dedicated cut right now. I keep a check on caliper measurements and waist but for me it all comes down to the mirror along with strength.

Pretty much going with your second statement. Cutting the crap and reverting to my pre-re-injury plan of milk and dextrose backloading to keep some bloat. I'll see how I feel in a couple weeks. Now that I'm training a lot again and riding everywhere I wouldn't be surprised to see a little loss initially.

02/02/13 - Bench & Dead

Incline
70kg x 8 @7
80kg x 8 @8
80kg x 8 @9

1" Pause Sumo
120kg x 6 @7
120kg x 6 @7
120kg x 6 @7.5

Nice and easy. Wanted to clean some things up off the floor with sumo, reps were good today and the pauses helped with finding the right position.

Hopefully training some strongman events tomorrow, not going to push anything though.

03/02/13 - Strongman

Log Single Clean & Press Reps
Strict Press
48kg x 3,3
53kg x 3
58kg x 3
63kg x 3
68kg x 3
73kg x 3
78kg x 3
83kg x 3

Push Press (Attempt, mong press better describes)
68kg x 3
88kg x 1
93kg x 2

Strict
68kg x 6

Yoke Walk
50kg x 20m
170kg x 20m x 3
210kg x 20m x 3

Axle
Played around with some cleans up to 80kg.

Log pressing is unbelievably fun. Most I've put overhead is 80kg for a single and with this being the 5th day of pressing this week I was pretty chuffed with a 93kg double.

Some strong guys there, most of them lean too, by the sounds of it one is competing at the Arnold in a few weeks at 90kg. Will hopefully make it there at least once a month.

Tomorrows fronts and close grips are probably going to be fairly light.

Ye I thought his name was Shane. They all seemed like active UK strongmen between 90 and 105. I know that Jack McIntosh and Graham Hicks train there often too. Good environment to get strong.

I have more motivation to compete in a Strongman event than PL so it's likely.

04/02/13 - Squat & Bench

Squat w/Belt
140kg x 5 @7
150kg x 5 @7.5
150kg x 5 @8
150kg x 5 @8
150kg x 5 @8.5

CGBP
100kg x 5 @7 All long pauses, felt like nothing
110kg x 5 @8
110kg x 5 @9

Reverse Curls/Facepulls
Short bar+10kg/30 x 25/20, 20/20, 22/20

Realised this morning I switched some stuff around so it wasn't fronts. All weights heavier than I expected after yesterday. Feeling strong and full of rage whilst lifting, not getting psyched up or anything just feeling confident with weights I used to be nervous about.

My gyms bent bars will be the death of me or one of my shoulders at least.
