04/10/12 - Deadlift & Squat

Deadlift w/Belt
190kg x 2 @8
190kg x 2 @8
190kg x 2 @8
195kg x 2 @8
195kg x 2 @8.5

Squat Against Bands
105kg x 2 @8
107.5kg x 2 @8
110kg x 2 @9 (Bar slipped)
Remove bands, pause in hole
110kg x 5 @8
110kg x 5 @8

Sumo Deadlift 8min AMRAP
110kg x 10 @8
110kg x 8 @8
110kg x 8 @8
110kg x 6 @8.5
110kg x 6 @9

OK day, struggling to find a decent belt position without so much belly/bloat.

Noticed a slight tear in one of the bands so took them off, won't bother with those again but need to find a decent secondary squat movement. I'd say the Pullum Sports bands are far superior to the Strengthshop bands in the UK.

Great stuff, JT. Just steady hammering. Impressive.

As a man with a bit of a belly myself, I put that belt right around my belly button.

And if you think you have a belly, than I got the container your belly was shipped in.

Thanks kuyt, hopefully adding up to some good progress. Would love to get my hands on those.

Thanks Mike, things are going pretty well, hard to tell just yet. Lever belts and fluctuating weight are a bad combination. I can confidently say my belly is enormous right now ha.

35mins of the cheat windows left, trying to finish my litre of choc milk and strawberry ice cream, 3rd time lucky but I think I'll be comatose for a while.

Good session jt. Dont you find it awkward to squat w/o bands after banded squats? I use to be all over the place formwise:-)

Cheers swede, I know what you mean, I kept unracking them afterwards with way too much force too.

Good session, benching felt great.

The belt problems yesterday have left me with a strained lower rib, again. It only really showed up on the military presses today but I'd already started the timer so I wasn't going to stop. Pretty uncomfortable, bit of rest and it'll be fine.
