Thanks everyone, certainly been a productive summer and still some left in that bench, need to work on legdrive some more, can see in the last bench rep I start to struggle and suddenly think to drive my feet and the bar speed picks up.

Something I forgot to note yesterday, my biceps were beat up from the benching, left bi was knotted up and was agony to release. I'm thinking about skipping slingshot bench on Friday but not sure what to do instead, I'll see.

Still chuffed with yesterday, more PB's to fall in the coming days/weeks.

Cheers Al. Probably January, only other opportunity is the Student champs in November but with them being so far away I can't afford it. Planning my cycle around a fixed mock meet has really helped this cycle though, something I'll be sticking with. Will hopefully get to compete more next year, that's the plan anyway.

31/08/12 - Bench II

Reactive Sling Bench
140kg x 2 @9 PB
145kg x 1 @9 PB still

Pull Ups
BW x 5,5
Green Band Ass. x 12,10,10

Called it after the bench. Said earlier in the week I should skip slingshot work but ignored myself and pushed when there was no need. 140 was fine, 145 was shakey and just felt off so racked it. Lesson learned.

Worked most of the knots out of my shoulders and bicep so should be fine by next week when the momentum will resume.
