Bringing back the hook grip, felt solid on the warm-ups and will test it out on working sets next time.

Deads felt fast and strong.

Squats were pretty decent.

All predicted maxes are up this week and all lifts hitting a good groove right now, looking good for the end of summer mock meet.

Thanks BtB, appreciate that, helps me stop over-analysing. Looking forward to the mock meet, hoping I could keep things together until then.

Little disappointed today, slingshot eccentrics were brutal on my shoulders, biceps, elbows and forearms. Felt like my shoulders were tight and it meant I came off my traps a little in the hole. Just felt crap in general and the weight was down on what I intended.

2brd made up for it a little, thought I'd struggle but it felt alright.

Still some quality work, I'll take it.

I feel like on eccentrics when I enter with lingering strains, or enter over-worked. Not sure if that was the case for you.

Take a few days off and come back strong.

Definitely the case, a few things really. Pressing volume has been pretty high the last 2 weeks and it was stupid of me to have an extra session Wednesday instead of Saturday this week, that left me pretty beat up. That along with not being able to sleep all week meant going into that session zombied. Weekend of dog walk cardio, food and a little stretching/rolling.

Stripping back the volume for the next 2 weeks; higher RPE's and fewer sets.
