Bench AMRAP in 12mins
I used to live on this sort of work before my powerlifting days.

How were the DOMS the next day?

Been doing a lot of reading the last few days on squats. One problem I had was that I would relax my hams/glutes somewhat in the hole.
Do you think you were relaxing them during the eccentrics, or only when you hit the hole?

Rather brutal, still some lingering now. I've done similar things in the past and I think this is a keeper for assistance.

I know I've never concentrated on keeping tension on the hams during a squat but I'd say its in the hole that I consciously relax them. I seem to loosen them to get some extra depth which I don't really need. I think this worked well when I was high bar squatting with a more vertical back but with a low bar position it messes things up. This is my thinking anyway, I am by no means an expert.

Today felt strong out of the hole and I'd say depth is spot on so I'll see how things feel in the coming weeks.

Solid work. Faz diagnosed my uneven lockout as a retraction problem as well. Hope the ribs heal up fast.

That's a lot of reps in 12 mins! Are you going to raise it or try and hit 50 @ 85kg? Doing that with squats would be murder!

Ye I was happy with that. Not sure, next time I do it it will be after 2 heavy pressing exercises. I thought 40 would be a decent rep goal before adding weight. Not sure I'm ready to deal with that on lower body, I haven't had leg DOMS in a while and I don't really want to ha, we'll see.

Feeling pretty good today. Appetite is back and I'm closing in on the 100kg barrier . Bench, Squat & Military tomorrow to some easy triples, if all goes to plan, ready to get back into it next week.
