29/02/12 - Deload Session

Spent most of the session trying to nail power clean technique down, got somewhere but plenty of work to do on them. Finished up with deadlifts, BTNP's and some rows.

04/03/12 - Military 3x3

Military
20kg x 5
27.5kg x 5

32.5kg x 3
37.5kg x 3
42.5kg x 12

Neutral Grip Pull-Ups (Military Superset)
4,4,4,4,4

Pendlay Row
62.5kg x 9,9,9,9,9

CGBP
70kg x 8,8,8,8,8

DB Curls/Lat Raises
12kg's/8kg's x 12/10, 10/10, 10/12

Not a bad session, dropped the weight as something still doesn't feel right in my shoulder. The pressing was fine but some of the pulling just felt off. Tried the walk in centre after the gym as I don't have a GP in Manchester but they were useless and can't refer either. I may just fork out for a session with a Physio a friend recommended.

Busy week ahead but hopefully I'll be smashing some dead and squat PB's with little sleep.

Thanks, I can't wait for the morning, 155 dead rep out.

One thing I found out about from the nurses check yesterday was that the shoulder was only a problem with soft tissue. I've been doing a lot of work with a hard ball around my upper back, mostly on my traps which has helped a lot. Yesterday I found another "trigger point" that had referred pain around where I was feeling it, a quick hard ball to the back and it felt better straight away. Shoulders feeling really good today, I may finally have cracked it. Somewhere around the teres major and minor, all I know is it worked.

Good news on the shoulder. Mine feels much better with upper back rolling/lacrosse ball work.

20 reps at 155?

06/03/12 - Deadlift 3x3

Power Clean Technique/Warm Up
Empty Bar - Hang cleans from above knee, then below knee.
40kg - Same as above.
60kg x 4 (From floor)

Deadlift
80kg x 5
100kg x 3

120kg x 3
137.5kg x 3
155kg x 10 PB +5kg

Goblet Squats
38kg x 12,12,12,12,12

Sidebends/Standing Band Abs
25kg/Blue x 12/20, 12/25, 12/25

Didn't quite make 20, but still up 5kg from last cycle and equaled the reps, in 9 cycles it'll be 200kg for 10, maybe. Wasn't fully happy with deads but still a good session. Have video of PC's and deads, will upload after uni.

Also, shoulder was perfect, very happy at that. Feeling lean too, I am still back loading but cycle the amount of carbs, usually 2-3 low days then a medium and ridiculous day. Seems to be working well, shoulders and lats were showing well today.

Stuffing my face before lecture now, 3 hours of CFD followed by 3 hours of reactor physics and a night of coursework. Hopefully I'll get a chance to catch up with some logs sometime today.
