It's ok, should be fine to push for a PB at the meet. Saturday would be nice but it's Sunday for some reason.

16/09/13 - Low 2nd Attempts
100.1kg weigh in

Squat w/Belt
180kg x 1

200kg x 1
210kg x 1

Comp. Bench
110kg x 1

125kg x 1
132.5kg x 1

Comp. Deadlift
190kg x 1

220kg x 1
230kg x 1

572.5kg total +22.5kg mock meet PB

Felt rough this morning, bunged up sinuses. Once I got in and warmed up properly I felt good. All over in 90 minutes with max rest of 5min between sets.

Squats were flying, 180 was a speed rep and 200 wasn't far behind, was a triple there no doubt today. 210kg felt great.

Bench felt ok, shoulders still not perfect but should be fine to push by weekend.

Deadlifts were ok, 190 was a speed rep, 220 started to slow but come weekend I will be happy to grind. 230 was still ok considering I had squatted ~40mins before and at the meet I should have a lot more rest.

There we go, feeling great now, come weekend I will feel even stronger. One light squat and bench day left on wednesday.

did you make the call on going in at the 100kg class or 110kg class?

On my application I wrote 100? ha, I've been eating a lot of ice cream wafers the last few days and still weighed in at 100.1 so should be fine to hit <100 with a slight reduction in carbs on friday and sat.

Good work JT. Fast coming out of the hole on squats. That's a great sign. Bench looked rather easy. 10 to 15 pounds in that. Strong lockout on the deadlift.

Overall those look like decent second attempts.

110kg x 3

Over in 30 mins. Squats were fast and easy, strained my quad stretching which was odd but it's fine today.

Boring rest of week now, avoiding ice cream and sitting around.

I fear I would do better at the sitting around than I would at avoiding the ice cream !!
