In terms of meet prep, why not sit around 102kg till then and a small water load should see you dip under 100kg for the meet? Much easier to manage your prep work on maintenance calories??

Diet wasn't aimed at reaching a certain weight for the meet, just to not be such a fatty and feel a little healthier. I can take the strength loss, it's the aches and pains from the meds that I'm taking that are driving me mad but that should start to decline in a week when I finish.

Thanks, should get back to normal sometime in the next month.

01/07/13 - Deload

Squat
100kg x 3 x 3

Bench
80kg x 3

Deadlift
140kg x 3

Not bad. Left shoulder is funky, only when I let it slip forward, if I hold posture it's fine.

Averaged ~3500-4000 calories for the last 3 or 4 days and weighed 99.6kg every morning, will carry on with this for a while and sort shit out when I get back to proper lifting.

09/07/13 - Back & Bi's

Pendlays
70kg x 8 x 3

DB Rows
77kg x 12 ea. PB?

BB Shrugs
180kg x 10 x 2
100kg x 40

Reverse Curls & EZ Curls

Thought I'd get in and do something fun. Still in need of a longer DB handle but skint.

10/07/13 - Squat, Dead

Squat
100kg x 10
105kg x 10

Greg Nuckols Shoulder Saver
8kg's x 10 x 5

Deads ~30sec rest between reps
160kg x 1 x 10

Not bad, first day squatting without it beating the shit outta me in a while but still feeling weak as shit.

Deads felt good, hook was solid today, last rep appears fastest.

Still didn't fancy benching, shoulder is still a little funky and I generally have no inclination to bench. The shoulder press things felt amazing though, should help with my OH squat/snatch position and general shoulder mob/strength/stability.

Saw doc on Monday, off meds and hopefully side effects will start to subside within a month so I might stop feeling like an arthritic pensioner soon enough and be able to lift something.

Quite a few sessions unlogged. Nothing major, started the week still feeling pretty weak and crappy, ending the week feeling strong and hopefully ready to smash again. Sitting around 99.2kg last couple days so roughly 1kg in the last month which is about right but feeling great and eating lots, will likely boost closer to maintenance now.

12/07/13

Slow run
4.5km/2.8mile run in 30mins

I used to do a lot of running and after reading some of Alex Viada's articles I decided I'd get back into it and see how torturous it is. Enjoyed today, thought I'd be dead but didn't get out of breath once, will soon get my 19:40 5km back. Not doing it to loose weight, and not pushing it hard except for one day of shorter intervals but no sprints, if anything I can have some extra choc milk and french fancies before I go to bed.

Been doing my home neck extensions with a mini band looped around each foot and then thrown behind my head most night along with ab wheel and mobility stuff most days. Feeling real good for it and getting a nice fat neck. Best I've felt in 4-5months, hopefully not lost too much strength over that time, next couple weeks will show it.
