Cheers. Not too bad a press, need to get out of the habit of dropping the last 2 inches to chest though.

24/04/13 - Squat, Bench & Dead

Squat w/Belt
160kg x 1
120kg x 3 x 6

Bench
120kg x 1
100kg x 3 x 6

SLDL
100kg x 6 x 4

Almost 2 weeks out, barely eating and barely sleeping. Rushed into the squats so the first few were rough with a stiff back, loosened up by the last few.

Bench was easy, all paused most for a few seconds.

Pulls were a little rough; hams, glutes and hips stiff and cramping so light and fast.

Need to spend more time warming up and reacquaint myself with the foam roller for a week or so.

Always around this time that I feel like cutting some so will go through it for a week and see if I really want to commit.

26/04/13 - Squat, Press & Dead

Oly Squat
100kg x 8 x 3

BTN Push Press
80kg x 3 x 6 (Probably 7)

Conventional w/Belt
180kg x 1
200kg x 1
150kg x 3 x 6

Easy. Back is constantly stiff but that's from tablets, just see how it goes day to day for the next 2 months.

Love BTNPP, all easy and powerful with paused lockouts. If I ever get to use some bumpers I'm going to learn to squat jerk. After watching the European WL Champs over Easter that shit is badass.

Pulls were a little off on the work ups but the triples were smooth, staying light for form work and it wsa worthwhile.

29/04/13 - Squat, Press & Dead

Squat w/Belt
160kg x 1
175kg x 1
130kg x 3 x 6 last reps paused, last set all paused

BTN Push Press w/Belt
90kg x 1
100kg x 1
85kg x 3 x 6

SLDL
120kg x 6 x 4

Had to go in at peak time, planned to bench but there was no chance of that happening. All good though, nothing more enjoyable than putting shit overhead. Reckon my BTNPP max is around 110kg at least.

Everything was fast and rests were all between 60-120 secs.

Cheers, onwards to 140kg BTNPP ha.

02/05/13 - Squat, Bench & Row
Band hip & thoracic stretching

Overhead Squats
20kg x 5 x 5

Front Squats
90kg x 6 x 4

Bench
115kg x 1
120kg x 1 @9.5
102.5kg x 3 x 6

Pendlay Rows
90kg x 8 x 3

Rear Delt Flys/Hammers
12kg's x 15/12 x 2

Still adjusting back to keto so today was rough. Reading some of Lyle McDonalds writing and looking into carbs around training without leaving ketosis.

First step towards a badass squat jerk. I can get a deep squat with snatch grip OH but need to work on shoulder flexibility to get a deep squat with more of a clean & jerk grip width without the bar falling forward.

Fronts were suffocating me, bench felt like shit and rows were terrible too.
