Once again warm-ups felt awkward. This time it was because I damaged my knuckles on the right hand doing some D.I.Y which made gripping the bar awkward. I had entertained the idea of working upto a max single in the region of 180kg but I didn't think that would go today. So I went for the multiple singles approach.

A bruised hand wasn't going to stop me from having a good time! So I missed the first single at 167kg but by that time I was warmed up and made the next 6 singles for a collective PR. One of these days I'll have a decent press session, probably!
nice session here Faz , do you do all your benching TAG or paused?

also,
Not convinced by your explanation for the above either , though it is slightly more believable than , I had my right hand in a fist and was just holding it the air when someone ran into it!!

Thanks, I didn't realise how much a damaged hand would restrict Benching. I figured it might restrict pulling but not pressing.

Haha! No, no that's not my style at all

The Benches are touch and go. No plans to pause any time soon, I'm pretty confident with the carryover. To be honest I'm not even sure what my Meet plans are in Coventry. My knees are dodgy so I'm not squatting at the moment, my equipped bench doesn't even touch and as of a couple days ago I'm too fat too pull! So who knows.

Light morning session. I added 2.5kg to the Presses and Push Presses. Presses are feeling really good at the moment, form is nice and dialled in and I have a good bar path. This takes around 20 minutes if I'm quick. I need to be more consistent with Sit Ups in the morning. Can't really be bothered with Curls though, so I may just leave it with Chins on alternate mornings.

Squats/GMs and Deadlifts later.

I reckon since my left knee could still use some more rest I'll max on GMs instead of Squats and do some back offs. My knee is feeling better day-by-day though so we'll see. After that, partial deads upto a max.

Thanks man. I need to stick tightly to the time but it feels good. It's kinda good incentive to get to bed early the night before as well. I'm going to target around 4 AM sessions this week for a total of 10 sessions this week.
