Friday 20th January - PM

BTN Push Press - 20kg x 10, 30kg x 5, 40kg x 3, 50kg x 2, 60kg x 1

70kg/154lbs x 1
80kg/176lbs x 1
90kg/198lbs x 1 PR!

Partial Squat 9th hole down (briefs/belt) - 60kg x 10, 100kg x 5, 140kg x 3, 180kg x 2, 230kg x 1

260kg/572lbs x 1
280kg/616lbs x 1 PR!

Pendlay Row - 60kg x 10, 100kg x 3, 120kg x 3, 140kg x 0

I just really had a great time on those BTN Push Presses so I went and did them again! Another PR in the BTN Push Press, it's not quite bodyweight yet but hey give me a break! This is the second time doing any heavy standing overhead work in about forever and the first time was three hours ago.

Very happy with the partials, that's another notch down and it's getting pretty damn low now!

Rows were MEH! 120kg for a triple is pretty gash but 140kg wouldn't go so whatever!

Workout Time: 25 minutes

Workout Grade: F

Most inept workout I've ever had. Benches have been heavy this week, and today they were a complete failure. 365 was heavy and I failed with 410. I don't even know how that's possible. I was hitting consistent PRs week in and week out, most recently a 450 PR.

3 bench fails in a week. This is a complete disaster. Everything else is strong right now. I even hit an OHP PR this week in the midst of this madness.

Just when you think you've seen everything in this game...

CNS felt fine. Warmups felt light.

It's not a complete disaster by any means Btb. You haven't had a genuine week off for a while, as you've alternated between SQ/BP weeks and DL/OHP weeks. You've tested your limits and this is just an opportunity to learn.

Interesting that you're still setting OHP PRs, perhaps a rest from the Bench exercise is necessary rather than pressing in general. That's quite an interesting result.

For now though a decent deload week would do you some good. I would do it before injury forces you to do so.

It just caught me off guard and I hate being blindsided. Deload coming on.

I did have some extra time off benches the week prior when my life was hectic, but not a full deload.

I'll reset, forget and drive forward.
