Thanks Mike. It's an interesting departure - I'm doing it for a few weeks to improve my conditioning and useless work capacity.When I get to the deads, which should be very light for me, I'm gasping for air.

I quite enjoyed training today. Trained with a strongman competitor - it was great, the session flew by. I think he may have been slightly nonplussed by the dinky little weights.

Thanks gents. It never ceases to amaze me how friendly MAB is. A little bubble of sanity on the internet.

Mike - nope, head's still almost indistinguishable from a biscuit-oriented container .

I've noticed that in the evenings after these workouts, I'm getting incredibly hot (in the temperature sense, rather than the sexually irresistible sense). I think that squats and deads together turn my metabolism up to eleven.

Well, an unexpected side effect of the Korte routine is that after only four or five sessions, my quads have got noticeably bigger! I would really recommend this routine to any detrained lifter looking to regain a bit of conditioning and confidence, and willing to be patient.

Today was a bit tougher, as my legs were still a bit tired from Friday. I was fried by the time I got to the deads. The weights are creeping up - I'll feel happier once the squats and deads go over 300 and the bench over 250.
