5/21/2012
Squat
315x1
285x3x2

half squat from pins #35
405x1
315x3x3

DB row
115x10

squats felt loose and weak today, strongly considering scrapping current progression for one with more volume.

Any specific programs you are thinking about? Or just more volume in general.

I was thinking of doing the same programming for squat as I have for bench, but doing it on wed and Friday, and just doing 6 sets of 2 with increasing weight on Monday, or if i feel like going heavy Monday I'll hit something heavy and do some doubles/triples after.

You look more comfortable squatting. Not sure if that's the foot position or what but they looked really fluid.

the foot position is different in that my feet are straighter and i'm focusing on external rotation of the tibia, keeping my weight on the sides/heels, which allows me to be fully engaged and in control the entire time

RobmoriRB-I don't mind at all, It is a system I've developed myself after determining that I like to squat 3x/week, so monday is fairly heavy and wed/friday are lighter days that don't tax recovery too much, and the bench press routine I got from the world record holder in our gym, the deadlift and strict press programming are taken from Paul carter's blog, and I liked the way they progressed, though we will see how effective they are in a few weeks.
