That's the beauty of this program in my opinion. I mean, I'm going to squat, DL, bench, and OHP no matter what methodology I'm following. I believe in those core lifts that much. The beauty though is in the flexibility of the assistance work and how you address your max sets. Never a dull moment.

Boring But Big ......is working!

I made up for the lack of coffee yesterday morning.

Today's workout

5/3/1 Wk 1 Session 3

SUPPS

3 scoops PINEAPPLE CON-CRET
1 scoop PINEAPPLE BETA-CRET
1 scoop WILD BERRY GLUTA-TREN

SQUATS

Warmups

105# x 5
135# x 5
160# x 3

175# x 5
205# x 5

230# x 10....PR, most ever 10 repper prior was 220# Sunk em' deep too.

More squats....Boring But Big routine

5 (or quite possibly 6) x 135# x 10....note to self, mark these down as I go...apparently I need Oxygen for my brain to work.

GLUTE HAM RAISES

3 x 10

Energy/focus was extremely high today. I was pacing like a caged Wildcat during the 5 x 10 squats.

Off to work.

Thanks Austin.

My wife and I hunted yesterday. She got to see some bears. They are getting more common in the SE part of KY.

Do you attribute the energy and focus to anything? Preworkout supps maybe?

Thanks. I have had great results with Promera's Beta-Cret (especially the focus). But, this workout was a notch better. Perhaps the short rests on those lighter weights helped.

Wendler's 5/3/1 Wk 1 Session 4......Shoulders

Supps

3 scoops PINEAPPLE CON-CRET 1 hr prior
1 scoop PINEAPPLE BETA-CRET 20 min prior
1 scoop WILD BERRY GLUTA-TREN intra workout

1st the Thor vs Crom challenge.....DB rows @ 40% BW for 5 min.....

I had my wife helping me with the time ( letting me know each min and giving me the countdown at the end)

1st 3 sets....12 reps (alternaing each arm and no rest between sets)

Next 2 sets 10 reps each...rested about 5 seconds

1 more set of 10 reps each....rested about 10 seconds (and telling Shelia to give me a 30 sec. warning and countdown from 15)

Started again w/ 1 min 5 sec. remaining and

cranked out exactly 2 more sets. Done and I mean DONE.

3 x 12 = 36 reps each arm = 72

5 x 10= 50 reps each arm = 100

Total reps = 172 Whew.

Now down to business

SEATED SHOULDER PRESS (basement ceiling is too low to do them standing)

Warmups

40# x 5
50# x 5
60# x 3

65# x 5
75# x 5

85# x 14...pleased with these...I have done very little shoulder presses due to shoulder issues

Accessory Lifts

More seated presses

5 x 60# x 10

CHINS

3 x 10.....I haven't done these in a long time and taking it easy.

Gotcha. Now that I may have time to workout during the day, I might try a preworkout to see how it goes. Up until now, I've usually had to lift at night. Its already difficult to unwind after a session. Preworkout supps might make matters worse.

Nice OHP session.

Thanks.

No supps, coffee or soda after 4PM and I've been gradually cutting that back the last week or so. I have enough trouble sleeping as it is, no need to make it worse.
