I can easily lose that much water in a day...hopefully, some of it's BW progress too!
That was my rule on squats for a while. Right now, its just no belt, period. I've used no belt, no wrist wraps, and no knee wraps in months. All i'm using is knee and elbow sleeves and chalk. It really seems to be strengthening these areas too. I know when i slap on a belt and wraps, i'll see some nice jumps in weight, and i should feel extremely stable.

Kind of the same deal on bench. I've been doing a more flat back bench to build more brute strength. I can arch pretty hard, and it makes a huge difference! I threw in one set the other day just to see what happened. I did 265 for an ugly double flat backed, then set up with a hard arch and doubled 275 easy.

Sometimes you have to take a step or two back to continue moving forward...

Good observations and awareness of how you personally lift. That's a sign of an educated lifter!

Yeah... i guess i should post an update.

I've been trying to fight a bunch of issues on my own for a long time now... finally decided to swallow my pride and get some help. I have hired John Pinder from the Iron Addicts forum to program my training and diet.

First off, we discovered i have functional scoliosis, which means my spine is structurally fine, but muscle imbalances have caused me to have an s shaped spine. So, we'll be working on correcting this first...

Basically meaning I wont be doing heavy compounds for a while, but its all for the better. I'll get my imbalances worked out and be a lot better off in the long run.

We're also going to get me completely shredded while this is going on. John's got some strategies for getting the metabolism really ramped up where i can eventually pack down a bunch of calories and stay lean while blowing past all my previous PRs.

My time with John starts monday and we'll be working together for at least the next 7 months.... lets see what happens!!!

Update on week 1.

I'll be in the gym 4 days a week. 2 upper and 2 lower days just like i'm used to.

Most of my work is unilateral to try and balance everything out.

Back Day. Really enjoyed this workout. Weak side specific movements pumped up my right side and it stayed more pumped the whole workout... that was kind of weird, but good. Great exercise choices by john. This day will do me a ton of good since i really need to strengthen my upper back.

Squat day. This workout about killed me! Lots of stuff i'm not used to and some i've never done before. Felt like throwing up and passing out. Lol. Great session.

Bench day. More good stuff. Great chest pump, and my tris were completely destroyed as long as i focus on keeping good form on a few of these exercises and dont try to push poundages, i'll be golden....

Deadlift day... rrally like the way this day starts out. One arm deadlifts i went light this time, but can see poundages getting a lot heavier as time goes on. These work me nicely. Rest of the exercises worked well also. In general, this day seemed easy, but i know as i start working into bigger weights, that it will get really tough.

All in all. I really like the routine john has set up. Seems well thought out and very specific to my actual needs. I've been so sore this week, its rediculous

Body weight was 190 on monday and currently sitting at 184.
