No KB-work today...decided just to take it easy in the end.


Looking back at 2011, it has been a weird year; hubby has been ill, for quite a duration of the year and training seems like it has been really sparse. On the upside, however: I managed to lose 17 lbs of bodyweight, without trying; have increased my PB in the deadlift and in the 1-finger deadlift, and the overhead jerk (left side).

I can't complain at that

Yep And, nope, no surgery involved I checked back through my diary which is where I keep all Sunday weigh-ins and I started out at 11st 3lbs (157 lbs) in the first week of Jan 2011, and was 10st (140 lbs) exactly on 1 Jan 2012.

Between 9 - 9.5 st is my goal but it all depends on lean mass and how I look, really; if I think I start looking gaunt, I will upp the scale weight etc. Since, I'm using heavier weights in training, it may have to be closer to 9.5st but it's too early to decide.

Shorter than I thought. 140 pounds sounds like a very healthy weight for your height.

In the pic, over on the other site, I was around 119 lbs, then I did weighttraining (with the light weights) and gained weight and went to around 135 lbs but looked even slimmer than in the picture posted there; so, it is possible that 140 lbs may be just about right, considering the heavier weights and such.

But, I'm happy with my weight, as long as I look healthy which I do. There is a female powerlifter that weighs just over 8st (112+ lbs) and lifts 3X BW in the DL, so it is possible to be around that weight mark and not be "skinny"/gaunt and sickly, and she's around my height; but it is also possible that weight looks different on both of us and to be as low a weight as that may not look so great on my frame.

I'll just assess as I go along and see where it takes me, but at the same time I set a base weight (years ago) which I refuse to drop below, though I don't think that will be a problem because I upped that base weight by 14 lbs to the 126 lbs which I feel will be too low anyway. But, the mirror and common sense will tell, in the end.

Well if I am being honest, I thought you looked too thin in that picture. I know that goes against the grain, but I think an extra 15-20 pounds from that pic would look healthy. I hope this makes sense. I don't think skinny looks healthy, not that I mean fat looks healthy.
