I'd go for a triple at 215 and maybe add in another rep if you feel up to it. I hate missing rep's though it really affects me.

Screw adding another rep, 4 is way too many!

Probably going to do 210 then base the next set on how it feels. Gotta work damn hard now... last week's 210 was way too easy to finish on.

I'm squatting heavy next Saturday and will be looking for 195kg's x 3 or 200kg's x 2. Let's make it happen!

12/09/11

Big, if rather cut short session today.

ME Squat
Warm-Up
160x3
180x3

Was a little too casual with these weights and I rushed taking them out and setting up. Gotta respect the weight brah.

200x3
210x3

Felt tough, but competent. Form started to break down on the third rep of the 210kg, but I was determined to continue.

215x3

Hell effing yeah! Really pleased with this as if you take the always accurate calculation that a triple is 90% of your 1RM then that puts me at around 238kg! Doesn't always quite work like that, but it still feels good to rock that 215. Very hard and I was starting to see stars after the second rep!

Doubles next week, want to aim for 220-225.

DE Deadlift
175x1x7
140x1x3

Urgh, back was (and still is) feeling pretty tight before and throughout these. Did 170s last week so wanted to increase the weight today to 175, but they really didn't feel like speed deads, didn't have that oomph that I expect. Dropped the weight for the last three sets and they felt better. Going to have to foam roll the sh!t out of my lower back.

Cut my session short there as I was getting hungry and the back pain didn't look promising considering I was going to do RDLs. Will probably have a second session later and just do some leg pressing and leg curls or something.

Psyched with that 215 triple.

Awesome squatting. Do you need my physio number? Or a PVC roller?

Would it be insane to want to triple 220kg?
yes, but you're gonna go for it anyway

Cheers buddy. Physio is tempting, I've been meaning to get checked out for a while, how much does she charge?

Might have to borrow your roller tomorrow though and smash the hell out of my back if that's cool. Going to do what I can with the one at the gym, but it's too soft.

Nah, didn't in the end - managed 215 though which was still pretty brutal!

Word! I've nearly killed myself twice on heavy squats.

That's a heckuva triple Hazz. Big numbers coming up at your next meet.

Now, MOAR tricep kickbacks!
