Another important point to remember is that you know what you are
doing wrong and know how to fix that. Countless lifters waste so much
time doing things wrong and never learn how to remedy that.

Strong work regardless, also good to see there were no idiots today

Nice squat session, hate the days when you just can't get it right, still great work. GM's took me a while to get used to, the video BtB posted is what I aim for.

Thanks mate.
Actually, I've seen that tool a couple of times since but he's too busy trying to impress people with his toughness to notice anyone.

I used to love that show when I was a kid!

Tuesday 27 March
Last training session as a 20 something

Bench
60x5
70x3
85x2
100x1
110x1 - Real grinder, even 100 felt hard.
102.5x2
102.5x1
102.5x1 - Nearly got done on this one. Very 'meh' session but if I can consistently press 110 that's not so bad.

Squats
60x5
72.5x5
85x5
97.5x5
110x5 - Probably a 5 rep PR for parallel squats. Felt good actually, probably because I had lots of rest between sets as there were guys deadlifting in the space just behind. Reps felt hard but I never felt close to missing one. A strange sensation of being under extreme tension but always being in control. I get the same sensation when my bench press is firing.

BTNP
45x5x3
Used small bar again and much better than last week.

Weighted Dips + 15kg
7,7,5 - Better than last week

Bench 2 - Mainly for rep purposes
60x10
62.5x8
65x6 - Triceps almost number after about 5 reps on each set!

Abs
Serratus crunch with 12.5kg DB's 3 x 8 supersetted with

Rope Pulldown - Pin 19 - 3 x 8

, he learned from me

I bench once a week with a second day dedicated to overhead pressing and close grip bench. My sessions these days look like this:

Tuesday
Bench - work to singles + back off singles/doubles/trebles
Squat - classic 5x5 rampint for technique purposes and as a second squat day. Feels good thus far.
BTNP - 3 x 5
Weighted Dips - 3 sets

Thursday
Deads- work to heavy single then back off singles (this is working well)
Rows - Now aiming for a 5x5 at same weight to hone technique and avoid rubbish sets
Lat Pulldowns - 3 set (feels like a rest )
Biceps - 3 sets of seated curls/hammer curls
Dynamic squats

Saturday
Clean & Press - heavy single, back offs
Close Grip bench - 3 sets
Dynamic Bench
Few sets of dumbbell presses

Sunday
Heavy squats to heavy single + back off singles
Good Mornings - 3 x 5 or 5 x 3
Dymanic Shrugs 3-5sets of 3-5 reps
Chins - 3 sets
Dynamic Deadlifts

Not overly concerned about bench right now because last week was pretty good and I am consistently hitting 110 now, just 2.5 kg from a PR.
