Awesome squat! Nice benching too even with meddling spotter that's still nice work! And you made up for it with a pretty damn good paused rep anyway.

Max squats always look awful! Pay it no mind, next time you hit 145 it'll go right up.

Enjoy your holiday!

Thanks guys and greetings from smalltown USA! Managed to get 3 sessions in for free by telling Charter Fitness I was interested in joining. I hit a 365 deadlift, 285x2 squat and 225x3 bench during the week while also seeing a gang fight going on in the gym!

Anyways, judging by holiday pics (and almost every pic taken of me), I look like a fat mess so rather than putting it off any longer, I am officially training for weight loss. Not completely sure of my weight but I estimate it to have risen to 207 again. The plan is to get to 187 or less in approximately 17 weeks. I will use IF once more but be 100% dedicated to consuming 2200 calories or less a day. There will be the odd treat but keeping it at sub 2200 calories while having 200g of protein is the goal.

I also need to change things up as I don't think Madcow will work so well with my weight loss. As a result, I will look to do a 4 day week with 2 pull days and 2 push and leg days. While I will hit singles for deads, c+press and power clean, most of the rest will be comprised of Steve's 20 reps in 3 sets procedure to ensure progression is made.

Coming home Monday and will check in on you guys. Back at it Tuesday though I may be jetlagged!

I don't look big at 207 Mark. I think I am naturally a lean 180 pounder to be honest as I am not a big guy.

In June-July 2012 I was 202 then I dropped to 187 by August-September and looked decent. I have possibly gained 7-10 pounds of muscle in the last 12 months (though maybe not). I am much stronger than I was back then so I surmise I will look much better at 180-185 this time around.

Thanks Steve. The pics are horrifying! If I can get to 185 or less and look lean, then I can try and gain some lean mass. According to Casey Butt formula, I can hit 203 at 10% bf. Therefore, I should certainly be looking to stay trim but be 190+. I would probably look bigger then than I do now at 207 with 20-23% bf (estimate and I am scared to measure). I will in December though

Tuesday 21 August
I am back peeps and today was brutal! Spent 10 days eating garbage in an ill-planned vacation. Got in some sessions but not great work to be honest. Weighed 94.1kg this morning but I am now 97cm around the stomach which is 3-4cm more than I was when I left I am hoping to cut that to 85cm along with a 10kg+ drop in 17 weeks. As such, these sessions will be high on volume with less rest between sets. Today's session took 65 minutes and involved lots of work.

Squats
40x5, 60x5, 80x3
100kg: 8, 6, 6 - 20 reps move up. Tough!

Bench
50x8, 70x5
85kg: 8, 6, 6 - 20 reps. Again, not easy.

Good Morning
60kg: 8, 6, 6 - Only slight knee bend and very easy

Push press from rack
60x3
70kg: 5 x singles - easy
Supersetted with
Lat raises
8kg: 8, 6, 6

Leg Press
150x5
220kg: 8, 6, 6 - easy
Supersetted with
Standing Calf Raise
Pin 10: 3 x 10

Incline DB Press
25kg: 8, 6, 6 - V. Easy

Weighted Dips
15kg: 8, 7, 5 - hard!

Good session overall though I felt like crap. Concentrated on not leaning forward in squat. Felt like I had never squatted before at the start but form improved at the end.
